It assessed the state of property records throughout BiH, analysed how the real estate market operated in practise, assessed the legislative and institutional framework, and determined critical areas for reform. In December 1999 and January 2000, CRPC analysed its findings and developed solutions with the help of outside international experts on land, cadastre, and real estate market reforms, and with the input of the main domestic actors. This report is a culmination of these efforts, and provides a series of findings and recommendations. Many individuals contributed to this research. Firstly, the CRPC would like to thank its researchers that conducted the bulk of the field investigations throughout BiH, as well as its support staff and project coordinator, Krista McKee-Samson. At the end of one hour, the objectives had been rated according to the four point scale and agreement had been reached at each table. At the January 2004 meeting, reorganized groups repeated the evaluation with a new set of objectives using what was now referred to as SMART criteria. At this meeting, participants also decided to explore further and analyzed the objectives using each criterion of SMART, to determine which, if any, were lacking. Late last year we embarked on the development of a strategic plan and we are in the final stages of development for this plan with the expected final draft to be ready for review by the SJRAA board at large later this year. The Martin Ainley Memorial Scholarship criteria has been developed and look forward to awarding it for the first time this year. We are excited to have had the opportunity to work with the Ainley family on this wonderful initiative and want to thank all of those who have helped make this lasting memory of Martin become a reality. It is surprising how great injury a pregnant woman, otherwise healthy, can stand and make a perfect recovery. The records show all kinds of violence and serious wounds. A recent case from the Massachusetts General Hospital is reported to the Journal A. M . Italian woman four months pregnant, who had been shot with a shotgun at close range, thirty minutes before reaching the hospital. "There was consciousness, but shock and moaning. The abdomen was distended. There was an irregular lacerated wound in the right lower quadrant, irregular, about the size to admit two fists, with three or four feet of the coils of the small intestine protruding. In the operation about forty perforations were found and closed. There was a rent four inches long in the womb, and the fetus was lying loose in the abdominal cavity. The placenta was removed by hand. A careful operation met all indications and the patient made an uneventful recovery.
